Paislee and Luci

I had the pleasure of watching Luci (my friend Amanda's baby) yesterday. She was such a good little baby. Just happy and smiling and then taking a nap until Amanda got back. Can you believe these babies are only 9 months apart? Luci has definitely got some catching up to do. Or maybe paislee has some weight to lose:) I thought paislee was jealous at first but the minute I put the baby on the floor paislee was right next to her pointing and saying baby and trying to touch her head. It was so cute. I'm sure these girls will be great friends in the future:)

Girls night out!

We went out last night for a girls night out for my birthday. I didn't take pictures but I stole these from my friend. (Thanks Amy) Although there were a few of me I chose to leave them out because well they weren't my best moment. We had tons of fun talking about of all things, big foot, aliens and ghosts. Among other things we were sworn to secrecy over. It was a blast other than all the cake and coke I ate kept me up until midnight. It didn't help that I was thinking of the ghosts, and aliens:) Thanks Girls it was great.

Flash Back Friday

I couldn't believe it when I put this outfit on Paislee that is a 2T and looked at Krissa's baby book to see how old she was when she wore it. She was 2 1/2. Paislee weighs 23'6 , Krissa weighed 25 at 2 years old. Paislee was 19 lbs at 6 months, Krissa was 19 lbs at 1 year. I guess its a good thing I went through the 2T clothes a little early for my chunky monkey:)

Brian had a mom and her two cubs come into his bait. I think they are cute. But Brian didn't really think so since they stayed for almost 12 hrs and ate everything, which isn't good since he cant shoot them. I thought it was neat to see the mom with her cubs.

Brady's preschool graduation!

Today was Brady's preschool graduation. It was pretty cute other than the visit from the creepy old people clowns. haha Sorry they were cute but a little looonnnng. Brian said he had 911 on speed dial in case one of them needed it. The kids loved it though. At the end the teacher took each kid and told a little about them and then asked what they wanted to be when they grow up. She said they called brady smiley because he was always smiling. And when he was asked what he wanted to be when he grew up he said "Spiderman". Which was funny but compared to some of the other answers it was almost believable. One little girl said she wanted to be a tomato another said a pickle. Go figure. I did get a little sad and teary eyed at the end which I wasn't expecting. My little boy is growing up!

Happy Birthday to me and $3 of fun for the kids

I had a great day today. First my sister sent me this cute recipe box she made along with an olive garden gift certificate (yummy). She also sent this decorative P that I have been looking for. Brian and the kids paid for a pedicure this weekend and took me to dinner and baskin robbins tonight. And to top it all off I got a great hair cut and color from shalece (I will get even shalece). I also got calls from my friends (and Amanda watched my kids while I got my great hair cut) and all in all in wasn't to bad to be a year older. Oh who am I kidding It sucks being 30:)

We bought this little car at yard sale for $3.oo and Paislee has been having a ball. Not to mention Krissa and Brady being in it almost all day Saturday. With all their toys bought at full price sitting lonely in their rooms. Go figure:)

Brian set up a bear bait a few weeks ago and he finally got some pictures of the bear coming in to eat. Lucky me maybe I will have a bear rug on my wall to go with the fish:)

Flash Back Friday

It will be 13 years ago the 29th that my dad passed away. I thought I would honor him today by putting him on flash back Friday. He was sometimes a not very nice guy but he was blind, had lost a leg, had a couple heart attacks and had diabetes since he was 5 so maybe a little of it was justified. He was funny at times though. I remember my sister was dating a guy named Dewey and the first time he came to pick her up my dad asked where Hewie and Lewie were. My sister didn't think it was very funny. He also asked my prom date if he knew the difference between and bull and a steer because he would be a steer if he touched his daughter in anyway on our date. That also wasn't funny then but it is funny now. He was a very hard worker and when he could still see he built our house that we lived in when I was a kid along with many others. He always had us working doing something. He wasn't a religious man but I hope he got proved wrong and he is now looking down on us with new eyes and a new leg. I just wish he could have met Brian and my kids. I'm sure he and Brian would have gotten along well. And the kids would have loved to hear his imitation of daffy duck:) Please excuse my crazy hair and faces in the pictures. Just so you know my sister wrote the poem that is below and it was on the back of the program for his funeral.
