Jessie,Maci,Krissa,Graci
All these girls were in kindergarten together. It was fun to get them together and nice to see they fell right back into being friends
Since Krissa's friend Maci was coming to town. I arranged for Krissa's other friend Jessie to come over on Friday and we surprised both of them with a visit from Maci. Krissa had no idea Maci was coming to town so when she opened the door and saw her in our living room she was so excited.

Brady had a play date today so I thought I would decorate some cookies and let Krissa help. She did a pretty good job and loved helping me.
Krissa with her favorite cookie she decorated=)

Wrestling kids and fish.....

We started our Saturday pretty early by driving to Jerome for a wrestling tournament. Brady did great. He won 1 out of 3 but hey at least he won one and he had a great time doing it=)
We had planned the night before to take the boat with us so we could stop in Hagerman and go fishing. I have to admit I doubted it would be very warm but I was pleasantly surprised when it was 55 degrees and no wind.
Daddy's little girl learning to fish.
Sometimes the kids get bored and we have to break out the DVD player but I say whatever keeps them quiet right.
I wonder if we were the only boat on the snake river equipped with its own potty=)
Again when you are on a boat you have to be creative but the kids seem to love playing with the little plastic fishing lures=)
The fish above is the one Brian caught the fish below is the one Brady caught. Since Brady's was a little bigger he told Brian "If I were you I would be humiliated" haha
Note to self: Don't stand up to take a picture with your hat on as Brian zooms across the lake, because you will almost lose the hat in the lake. Luckily we had this big net and were able to turn around and grab it before it sunk.
Overall it was a great day on the boat. When Brian first bought the boat I was a little skeptical because lets face it I'm not a water fan. But it has turned into something fun we can do as a family. The kids love the water and I love relaxing in the sun. And we all know Brian loves fishing. Its great for him to have a boat and hobby that he truly loves=)

Funny Girl

This morning Brian was pretending to throw snow at Paislee when she said "don't throw it, I'm just a little baby"
Yesterday we got out of the movie wimpy kid and there was a part in it where they would get something called the stinky cheese if they touched some old cheese. Anyway I was asking the older kids what their favorite parts were and they told me and then out of the blue paislee said "My savorite (favorite) part is when he says you got de stinky cheese" Who knew she was actually watching the movie. =)
She got in trouble last week and as I was getting ready to send her to time out she stroked my hair and said "I like your new brown hair".
When we were in CA Paislee had one too many M&M's and got a little tummy ache. When we went back to Amandas she proceeded to tell amanda "I ate the m&m's and then I frew up like dis (as she puts her hands in her face) aahhh"

My little helper..

I usually don't like to be woke up by my kids on a Sunday morning but since it was 9:30 and Krissa woke me up to ask what pan to use for coffee cake I couldn't get mad. She got up all on her own and made coffee cake for the family. And it was delicious. Thanks Krissa what a great helper you are=)

Trail-gator bike tow bar

I didn't want to buy another bike trailer so when I came across this little device that actually hooks her bike to mine I bought it. You can actually unhook it easily if she wants to ride on her own and then hook it back up when she gets tired. At first she was afraid to get on her bike with the front tire lifted but the minute we started riding all I heard was weeeeee=)

Vacation Days 4 and 5.....Winchester mystery house, california science museum

Since day 4 was St Patricks day the kids woke up and found a box of Lucky Charms that mysteriously showed up over night. Was it a leprechaun or maybe Amanda thinking ahead. We will never know...

Next we went to the Winchester Mystery house. Sadly you could only take pictures on the outside and in the gun museum so there aren't many. But it really was a fascinating house with stairs that led to nowhere and doors that opened to walls. It has 160 rooms something like 47 fireplaces,13 bathrooms and 1 shower.

On the way home Amanda had told us about this cool little park right next to an ice cream shop so we stopped by. The kids loved it. Especially Paislee I think the train (pictured above) was the highlight of her vacation. Doesn't take much to win a 2 year old over.

I swear this little girl cannot take a bad picture=)

The next day we were off to the California Science Museum

I think this little boy was getting really sick of me saying smile, stand here, go there, look at the camera....

I tried to get brian to sit by this Anaconda but he said that would be stupid. Really I know how much he hates snakes and I think he just plain didn't want to be that close to one. Can't say that I blame him. Pretending to swim with the fishes.

After the science museum, and after loosing satellite reception on our GPS through the tall buildings of san fran and some very windy roads we made it to the Golden Gate bridge. If I look a little sick in the face its because I was. One look over the bridge and I literally felt like I would throw up. Just as I told brian this he says imagine how paislee feels. I look over and she is on his shoulders looking over the bridge. After having a small heart attack I moved him away from the edge. Lets just say I don't love heights and we didn't spend much time on the bridge.

Our last night in CA we offered to let Amanda and Josh go out on a much needed date. Which worked out great for us because we just took all the kids to the park and enjoyed the sun and then went back to their house where we just chilled and watched T.V. after days of walking it felt great. And our kids all play together so well it was nice to let the kids play with their friends.

We had a great time in Ca in fact even after we drove 12 hrs in one day to get home. Krissa was asking when we could go back. I'm happy to say a lot of the snow is missing from my yard and I'm hoping that means spring is around the corner.
