This week Lehi had their fair week/4th of July parade. The kids were so excited to go. It turned out to be a really cute parade and we will definitely go again.

When we got home we decided to roast hotdogs for dinner and then make smores. Its so nice having a yard that is shaded in the evenings.
FYI if you put a mini Rolo inside a marshmallow and then roast it. It is delicious.
After spending Saturday in limbo waiting to be able to go back home. We decided to make Sunday a lot more fun and head to Starvation Reservoir. Luckily Brian's brother Mitchell could come with us. It was great to hang out with him. The kids loved it.
We forgot the Bimi cover for the boat so when it was really hot the kids made due by making little tents out of their towels.

Brian told Brady he would jump in the water if Brady did. When it came down to it Brian needed a little nudging by Brady to actually do it. And as you can see in the picture Mitchell gave him one final shove.
Brady showed me his swimming skills by swimming from shore to the boat. I’m so proud of my kids and their ability to swim since I cant swim. We had such a great day. It was beautiful weather and just all around a good day.
It has been a weird couple of days. On Thursday morning we noticed some smoke in the sky so I walked outside and took the first picture. By Friday morning we were being evacuated and I took the second and third picture. It was really scary to be told to get out and not really be sure how bad the fire was. We were so happy to be able to go and stay with my mom as some people didn’t have relatives or family near by. Thankfully we are home now and the only thing that remains of the fire is a little smoke and a stench in the air. I’m so happy to have firemen that work hard to keep us and our homes safe.
To keep ourselves entertained at my moms we dressed up the dog in doll clothes. He was not amused =)
Brady’s boy scout troup had their day camp today. Brian took the day off and went with him. Which made me happy because they met at the church at 5:45 am and I don’t function well at that time. =) They had a great time and I was happy to see Brian had taken quite a few pictures.
As they were driving home they took this picture of the fire by our house. It did get pretty close but not close enough to worry to much.
