Christmas Day

As you can see the kids are all smiles because it is Christmas. Krissa got the littlest pet shop and some girlie perfume and a bunch of other girlie presents. Brady got a pirate ship, but once we found the spider man video game under the tree he was all about that. Paislee actually did like the little stuffed dog we got her but I'm sure she would have been equally happy with the wrapping paper. I got brady and brian remote control helicopters that they seemed to enjoy, and Brian got me a mothers ring and a Ipod. All and all it was a great Christmas. Also if you look below we had a small Christmas miracle (we got part of paislee's hair in a pony tail:).

Christmas Eve

Its finally Christmas eve. We went up to sun valley they have a presentation of the nutcracker on ice (which we missed, cause we were late. I know crazy we were late:) and they have all these beautiful snow and ice sculptures that the kids had fun posing by while paislee stayed warm and cosy in the stroller. When we came home the kids got to open one gift of our choosing. Which of course was pajamas. Brady took one look at it and started crying. Saying "I wanted to open the big box". Such Christmas spirit from him. Krissa was excited because she and paislee had the same pajamas so she was happy. We finish the night with a little hot cocoa from these cute cups our old neighbor Jodi gave us and then we watch a little Christmas story just before bed. The kids are so excited and I have to admit I am a little to. You can't beat Christmas time! Merry Christmas.

I love my sister!

When I went into the kitchen to make lunch paislee was sitting on the front room floor. When I looked in to check on her. This is what i found.

I guess Krissa is stronger than I thought. Paislee seemed to be enjoying the hug.

Brady Christmas program

Brady had his preschool Christmas program. It turned out so cute. It made me sad that he will be in kindergarten next year. Time flies when your having fun.

Christmas Concert

Krissa had her christmas concert the other night. In the video she is the one in the front in a pink dress playing the triangle. She says her favorite part of school is singing and lunch :) The other picture is Krissa with one of her best friends Maci.

Love doctor

Brady has been imitating the Alvin and the chipmunks preview. When they say I need a little help from the love doctor. His little voice is to cute to not share.

Nativity Scene and Outdoor lights!

My wonderful sister hooked me up with this nativity scene. I saw she had one and since I don't have a Roberts craft in Idaho. She was a great sister and mailed one to me. I'm also adding a picture of our outside lights. Brian was such a trooper and finally got them all to work so I wanted to share.

Paislee 6 months old

Paislee went in for her 6 month check today. (Even though she is a little over 6 months). Anyway she now weighs 19 lbs and 4 ounces and is 26 and 3/4 long. She has gained 5 lbs in 2 months. She is definitely a chunky monkey. When Brady was 6 months he was 18'6 and 25 1/2 inches long. Krissa was 17'1 and 25 1/2 inches long. She is still a happy little baby. The funny thing is in the whole time we have been seeing this pediatrician he and his whole staff are the only ones she never smiles at. We went to the grocery store after and she was smiling at everyone but once we were in the office not one smile. Maybe she knows what they were going to do to her. Oh and by the way for the past 3 weeks or so she has been sleeping through the night. Praise the lord!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

We got a little bit of snow this weekend, just enough for the kids to crawl around and get wet. And for Brian to pull out his 4-wheeler and push a little snow. As you can see he had a little helper on the 4-wheeler this year. Paislee was out there just long enough to get this picture and then back in the house she went for a nap. I wish I was as excited to see the snow as the kids are. Summers are just not long enough here.

Daddy does my hair!

Brian told paislee that she had enough hair that we could start fixing it. So this is what he came up with I think she looks like a little cuepie doll.

Sleeping in comfort

I finally got a picture of paislee in her crib like this. After just about every nap and in the middle of the night you can find her sleeping with her legs stuck out of the side of her crib. In the other picture i had finished feeding her and went in the other room, I noticed it had gotten really quiet so I walked in there to find her asleep. She is to cute!

I bet the kids in St. George don't have to dress like this for school.

For people that don't live in the Klondike like us i thought you might like to see what the kids in Bellevue have to wear to school. Krissa wears a coat, snow pants, gloves, snow boots, and hat. They wear there snow pants until the last recess of the day, so i still wonder why I bother buying school pants they get covered half of the year with snow pants. I had to laugh when my sister in St. George said her kids are still wearing shorts to school. Its crazy how different the weather is just 8 hours away.

Look what followed Brian home!

I thought Brian was just talking when he said he wanted a hunting dog. But evidently he was serious. I guess that's what i get for getting him a year membership to a pheasant farm. This is the newest member of our family a German wirehair pointer puppy named "Mowgli" like from the jungle book. I'm adding pictures of our other furry family members so they don't feel left out.

Its beginning to look a lot like christmas!

I thought i would show you all what my tree looks like. I have actually had it up since the weekend before Thanksgiving because I normally do it the day after Thanksgiving and we weren't going to be here. Brady asked Brian when we were through if tomorrow was Christmas Brian said no and Brady said then why do we have the tree up. In true Brian fashion he said I don't know ask your mother. ha ha. I did get the Grinch to put up some lights outside but since some of them keep tripping the breaker I have yet to get a picture of all of them. I think Brian is getting sick of me saying did you get those lights fixed yet :) I'm adding pictures below of some of my favorite ornaments. If you can't see them they are all the first Christmas ornaments for my kids. I started a picture ornament with my kids and every year I buy a new one to put a current picture in. It makes setting up the tree a little funner as we look back to what they looked like the years before. I also added a up close picture of the color of ornaments I used this year just because I love the colors.

Peatross,Mortensen Christmas Party!!

We had our annual Christmas party with Brian's side of the family this weekend. We had a blast. Brian's Grandma Nancy brought some marshmallow guns and everyone had fun shooting each other before dinner was ready. It was a great idea and I'm pretty sure the adults had more fun with it than the kids. Brian managed to find a way for marshmallows to hurt when they hit you. He thought it was hilarious. I took a picture of what the floor looked like when we were done and that was just a square of it. Dinner was great we enjoyed seeing all the family some of whom hadn't seen the baby yet. Brady got a Nerf gun game that included two guns and as you can see from the picture below He and Brian have been having a blast with them. We all had fun and finally got a family picture. Minus Brandon and Dylan. Hey maybe next year.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

This year we had Thanksgiving at my moms house with 26 other people. It turned out really crazy but also really fun. Looking around we could see we had a lot of things and people to be thankful for.
