For the first time in their lives....

For the first time in their lives my kids were told "you passed this level of swimming lessons."HALLELUJAH. I was starting to think they would never swim. But I actually even saw the teacher ask Krissa to demonstrate how to do things for the rest of the class. Way to go guys Mom is so proud of you! Now if mom could just learn to swim...

Paislee spent most of her time climbing on chairs and eating fruit snacks=)

We got to go to Orem today to have lunch with Brian's side of the family. It turned out really nice. We had great time eating and playing at the park=)

Grandma Terrie got a new puppy delivered by Brians brother. Of course she didn't want to leave it in the hot car. So she smuggled it in the restaurant in her purse. Luckily it was a good puppy and slept the whole time=)

Isn't this the cutest puppy. Its a miniature Shih Tzu so it will grow to only around 5 lbs.

Brady climbed up this slide and then couldn't get down. Luckily Daddy was there to rescue him=)

Aunt Bethany was a trooper and even got up with the kids to play red light green light!

This first picture of Paislee shows how I feel tonight. It was a fun day but very hot and very tiring.

Flash Back Friday... Dog Edition

And last but certainly not changed the least. Brian's dog Mowgli or Mo-ugly as he lovingly calls him. He really is the sweetest dog but I can't say he has improved much in the looks department in last 2 years=)

A few firsts...

We went to rock port to do some tubing. Usually Krissa won't step in the water or the tube. But yesterday she conquered her fears and we were so proud of her.

This is Krissa's first time on the tube. I have to admit I liked riding with her because Brian wouldn't do anything crazy with her on the tube=)

When we were all taking turns on the tube. Paislee kept crying and saying "my turn". So we finally let her go with me and then Brian. She was having a blast!

After awhile Brady and his friend Hunter got thrown off the tube (and mom had a slight heart attack). Brian hurried over to them. We were thinking they would be crying and scared. But no they both had big smiles on their faces and said "can we do that again". Since our hearts were still pumping we decided to do a little swimming instead. I wasn't planning on Paislee getting in but she was having nothing to do with that. The minute she saw her dad get in she was ready to jump in after him=)

Once Brian was in the water he soon had all four kids surrounding him. And no I did not get in, the tube is a big step for me. Since I can't swim. =)

Krissa had a blast in the water. For the first time in her life she was the one begging to get back in and swim some more. I think my little girl is growing up.

Fishing Rock Port

Since Brian got Brady his own tackle box loaded with supplies Brady couldn't wait to go use it. Even though Brady just wanted to fish off the bank (and we know Brian doesn't usually fish without his boat) Brian was a great daddy and took the kids and I and helped them bait their poles and untangle them when necessary=)

The one and only fish Brady caught. It was pretty small but he was pretty proud=)

Proof that we can grow a garden=)

We planted a garden and its finally getting to the point where we can eat a few things. I was starting to think we were cursed in the garden department. But so far this one has done pretty well.

The peas have come in so good. We finally got big enough pods to try. I was hoping the kids wouldn't like them. But they took one bite and were searching for more=)

Paislee and her first fresh pea out of the garden. She took one bite and said "more peas pweese"

The squash is looking really good to. But unless it magically grows more within the next 3 1/2 weeks I will probably never see it to fruition=)
