Krissa’s Adoption day 2011

“We were not separated at your birth. It was the moment at which we began our journey toward each other.”
Nancy McGuire Roche --Adoptive Parent

krissa adoption day 11

Oh how we love our Krissa Bissa. I often hear people say how lucky Krissa is that she got to live with us considering where she came from. But I don’t agree at all. Krissa has given us so many blessings and so much laughter our lives would have never of been the same without her. We truly are the lucky ones. We get to be parents to this beautiful, thoughtful, precious little girl. I can’t even put into words how much we love her. Yep Brian and I are the lucky ones. We love you Krissa.

First Day of Preschool and Now & Then

003

I wasn’t sure if I was going to put Paislee in preschool here or not. But after watching her watch TV all day I decided she needed preschool. This is her on her first day of preschool here in Saratoga Springs. And yes she posed that way all on her own. She is going to be our little fire cracker=)

On another note. One good thing about this move is I found a size 5-6 box of clothes that were Krissa’s and apparently it was just in time.

This is paislee at 3 1/2 and Krissa at around 5 1/2. Same table same clothes. I guess I better check hand me downs a little earlier=)

Pheasant hunting or avoiding unpacking?

Brady pheasant hunt

Brian conveniently got a hunt for he and Brady set up at Wasatch Wings and Clay by our house on Saturday morning. I personally think he may have been trying to get out of unpacking but he denies it=) Anyway they got two birds and Brady was happy he got to hit them with his BB gun. Of course Brian hit them with his gun to kill them but Brady wasn’t convinced he didn’t kill them.

First day of school in Utah

first day at saratoga 001

Today was Krissa and Brady’s first day at Saratoga Shores Elementary. I was a little nervous dropping them off because Brady kept saying he was nervous.  But since the principal and both teachers were really nice I knew they would have a great day. They both said the day went pretty well other than Brady said he almost cried at lunch because he wasn’t sure what to do=(. Hopefully tomorrow will be much better for him.

I just had to add this picture of Paislee waiting for the kids. She put her baby in her shirt because she said she was cold. haha When really it was 40 degrees and sunny today and the kids didn’t have to wear snow pants to school. I’m thinking the weather is going to agree with us here=)

Officially Utahns again

I just had to blog that we are here in utah and slowly but surely moving in. Brians parents and brothers and my mom all helped us move in. Along with some nice neighbors (right after they said are you lds). I had to include this picture of the rig I had to drive down. Lets just say my hands were at 10 and 2 and around burley I was almost in tears. I made it here safely I just hope I never have to pull a trailer that large again.

The Rands

Our great friends the Rand Family (minus Josh) came for a quick visit last night. If I can say one thing about my time in Idaho. Its that I have found some life long friends here. One of them being Amanda. She is one of those friends that you see or talk to and you are right back like we were when we lived close. She is in CA now but we manage to talk or text often and see each other when we can. Our kids are all great friends. They went a whole 24 hrs with no fighting and the minute they came in the house they were all hugging each other. I can’t wait until we can get together again. Thanks for stopping by Amanda!

Happy Birthday Brian

We are so lucky to have such a great dad and husband! Brian was a little spoiled with an ice auger this year because I ordered it after he got his nose surgery because he looked miserable:) Happy Birthday Babe!

Corn cob pipe and a button nose…

Now that the swelling is all down in Brian’s nose I thought I would do a before and after. His surgery went really well the only thing that really sucked (for me) was amnesia after surgery he asked me like 5 times that day what I had for lunch. haha His recovery has gone really well and he says he can breath better now than he ever has. Now that its all done he says it was worth it. It was funny to walk in stores with him when he had his cast on his nose. Because people would ask what happened and he would point to me and say “No means no”. haha As we were driving to Utah for the holidays he said I wish I had a corn cob pipe and I said why he said “I need one to go along with my button nose”. haha Good things he has a sense of humor. My favorite is when people ask how it went and he says “I’m not boy band pretty, but I’m pretty”. Gotta love him.

PuPpY lOvE & sNoW

001002

I just have to say our kids (especially Krissa) love our dogs. And I’m pretty sure the feelings mutual. She is always packing chewy around like a baby and he just lays their like he loves it. Chewy even occasionally sits right next to paislee and they cuddle.

As Brian was digging out the camper and our other trailers for the big move, Paislee told him she wanted to be pulled in the sled by the ranger. Once Brady and our neighbor boy Souther showed up I knew Brian was going to be pulling kids around for awhile. Good thing he is a good sport. Lets just hope there isn't too many big storms before we move. So we don’t have to dig out again. I will miss Idaho but I WONT miss all this snow. I do like snow just in smaller doses, and I like it to melt before July=)
