Friends and what we do for fun...

Krissa is so lucky to have a friend like Jessie. We move away for a year and when we come back the first thing she sees at school is Jessie's arms outstretched for a hug. We love jessie!

With Brian gone we get a little bored. Brady wouldn't go to bed and was all wrapped up in this blanket so I wrapped him like a little sack of potatoes and packed him upstairs. We were both laughing pretty hard with his little head sticking out of the top of the blanket.

With a bunch of boxes in the house. I couldn't help but show the kids how to slide down the stairs on them. Luckily no one was injured=)

First Day of School!

For some reason when I dropped Krissa off I felt like crying and then I kid you not. I get in the truck and the lyrics to the song on the radio go like this. I'm gonna laugh even if it kills me smile cause I don't want you to see me hurting. I'm gonna let you go in style. And even if it kills me I'm gonna smile. Talk about de ja vu. I'm really going to miss Krissa's help around the house. She often makes lunch for all the kids and is always willing to play with Paislee or keep her busy.

Krissa probably had the best morning at a kinda new school. Because she had been there before and already had like five people pass her in the hall and say hi krissa. She is lucky to be in a class with a couple of her old friends including her friend Jessie!

Brady was really excited to go to school. But for some reason he saw salad bar on the menu for school and that's all he has talked about since. I asked what he was excited for at school. He got a big grin on his face and said "SALAD BAR". Crazy kid.

I'm going to miss my little buddy during the day but I am so happy he was excited to start a new school.

Ever since Brady saw that his friend hunter in Utah had a bike jump he has been asking Brian to put one together for him. I know its not very high but he thinks its cool and has really enjoyed showing the neighbors and friends his mad skills=)

We had so much fun at the concert. The one problem was parking. The picture below is how far we had to walk if you look in the right hand corner that is the amphitheater. haha

I couldn't believe how many people fit in the amphitheater it was crazy!

My only contribution to the dress code was my crazy zebra shoes. I went to buy a t-shirt and told Brian if I didn't come back to look for my shoes in the crowd.

Lets get Lets get lets get rocked rocked rocked!!

We went to the Def Leppard, Poison, Cheap Trick concert last night at Usana. We actually only heard one song from cheap trick because they were first and it took us an hour to get 4 miles from my moms house to usana. Yes there was a lot of traffic. Once we got there we were treated to a VIP buffet dinner and then it was off to find our suite. We had a great time listening to songs like Un-skinny bop bop, Every rose has its thorn, Pour some sugar on me, and Lets get rocked. I have some video and pictures but since I am at my moms and have no usb cord I have to wait to get home to load them. My mom was nice enough to keep the kids so we had a great date night. Thanks Mom. Now I will head back to Idaho tomorrow with my def leppard t-shirt and lots of memories with me. To be continued...

Kids say the darndest things..

Sorry if this post bores you but I want to make sure and get these things my kids say written down.

Krissa was talking to Brady and I hear her say "When I grow up I'm going to school to be a vegetarian, they are people who help animals" Brady says "I'm not going to college I'm going to live with mom and dad forever".

Krissa was helping me make spaghetti. All the sudden she looked at the spaghetti noodles and said "you better get those noodles away from me. They look so good and I just want to stick my face in them".

We were fishing and Brian was putting a worm on Brady's hook. He showed Brian the power bait and said he wanted to use that too. Brian was telling him that usually its one or the other. When Brady said "no I always catch fish with my super power bait".

Alturas

We went with some friends to Alturas lake today. I have to say I had almost forgotten how pretty it is up there. The kids had a great time playing in the water and sand. It was all around a great day!

Since Maren and Jelina are training for a triathlon, Amanda rode the plastic turtle out with a GPS to show them how far they needed to go. I have to say they are pretty ambitious swimming in that cold water=)

The big move..

The movers came last Wednesday and packed our whole house up and then came Thursday to loaded it. By Friday they had it all safely in our house in Idaho. While they were doing that this is what we were doing.

Paislee was using a marker to draw on Grandma Ann's fridge. Grandma asked her if she knew how to say motel. haha Paislee then moved on to feeding Penny milk out of a doll hat. As you can tell she was completely oblivious to the move=)

If you look close you can see the welcome to Idaho sign on the right. Next to that is the truck carrying my brothers Ray and Darin who were kinda enough to pull a trailer up for us. Thanks guys.

When we finally made it here the kids were immediately jumping on their bikes and heading to the bike trail. I swear to them it has been an easy transition back to friends and familiar places. To me it has been a nice transition but a weird one. And I have to admit I miss my mommy already=)

Ice Caves in Idaho!

Since my brothers came up to help us move. (Thanks again guys) Brian took them up to Sun Valley while me and Amanda unpacked. When they got back we picked the kids up from Amanda (yes she was a life saver) and headed to the ice caves. When we lived here before we never made it to the caves I have to say they are pretty neat. At one point in the cave you are above 25 ft of ice. Its crazy what mother nature can do.
