Happy Happy Birthday Baby!

Can you believe this baby is already 2 years old? I can't. To be continued...

The day started out really good....

Krissa, Brady and I went to church and for a bike ride while Brian took Paislee on the boat. Brian said she was really good and I think we all had a good time..

And then we decided to go on a ranger ride. We got all the way to the top and yep that's right the ranger broke down. And do to the fact that none of our neighbor friends answered their phones and Mitchell hadn't made it back from duchesne yet. We had to walk around 5 miles off the mountain. Brady and I were in flip flops so he spent most of his time on Brian's shoulders. Brian said if he would have had flip flops on we would have had to have called search and rescue, because fat men with flip flops and sensitive feet don't mix. haha The kids were actually pretty good. Brady was telling me he was thirsty so I told him to pretend there was a gas station and tell me what he wanted. He said "how about some of that brake fluid stuff that dad needs to make the ranger work". Ha ha Paislee kept wanting to walk but we would still be up there if she would have. The kids should sleep good tonight.

At one point Brian was holding Paislee and had Brady on his shoulders. He is much stronger than me.

Krissa was a real trouper. She walked down, didn't ever ask to be carried, and even said she wasn't really tired when we got to the bottom.

Friends

We invited one of Brady's little friends from school over and I was surprised when he had the exact same problem as Brady. Neither of them can say their R's right. So Brady calls him Hunteh (hunter) and Hunter calls him Bady. They are only 10 days apart in age and got along really well. I love play dates when they don't end in a fight. haha

Gardening

We haven't planted a garden for years. But since our rental house has this great garden spot we put one together this year. Lets hope I have better luck than I have in the past=)

Flash Back Friday..pig tails edition

Its amazing what a year can do for a little girl with hardly any hair. The first picture is from a year ago. That last two are from now. I can't believe my baby will be 2 on Tuesday (sniff sniff).

This boy says the funniest things...

For those of you that know Brady you know he doesn't say much. But when he does it is worth listening to. He is hilarious. Here are just a few things he has said and done lately.
-"Mom you know what I showed at show and tell today? I took off all my band aids and showed all my owies"
-I had given him a wrist band and one day he came home from school without it. I asked where it was and he said "I gave it to hunteh (hunter) and told him I would give it to him if he would stop showing me his weeneh (wiener)." Yes I made sure the teacher knew this was happening. But i think Brady took care of the situation on his own=)
-I was down by the garage and Paislee and Brady had gone in the back yard. Brady kept trying to get me to come back there and put Paislee on the tramp. I kept saying no. And then all of the sudden I hear Brady yelling "oh Paislee did you fall I will go get mom try and get yourself out" I go running up there to see Brady and Paislee both just standing there. Brady had tricked me into going up there. What a little stinker!
-When Brian and Brady are getting ready to play video games. Brady is constantly talking smack. Saying "you want to go down dad" or "you feel like getting beat tonight". He even has Brian be the people on the video games that aren't very tough. While telling him they are really good so he can win.
-Just last night I was telling him to finish his meat. I told him to eat two more bites. Out of the corner of my eye I see him just touch the plate with his fork and then stick it in his mouth. He did this twice and then said "I'm done".
-When I was telling Brady we were taking a mini van on our vacation. He started crying and said "I never get to go on a plane." I said I'm sorry but I don't feel bad. I'm almost 31 and have never been on a plane.
-And every time he gets hurt he will cry and say "the only thing that will make me feel better is if I can play video games"
-One more just interesting thing about Brady is for years he has been better with electronics and video games than Brian and I. He even figured out how to program his favorite cartoon to record on the DVR. I did have to put a code on the movies after he bought X-Men off paper view. For a kid that is just learning how to read. He is really good with trial and error on electronics.

Curlformers

Since I put the curl formers in Krissa's hair I wanted to see what they would do in mine. I was actually really impressed. They weren't that wonderful to sleep in. But I do know you can put product in your hair before putting them in and then just blow dry and take them out. My hair turned out very curly and it stayed in all day into the next day. That's pretty good considering I can curl my hair with a curling iron and it will be flat by noon=)

Happy Mothers Day!

Me and My Mommy=)
Krissa has been hard at work all week making me journals and key chains and picture after picture. She is such a thoughtful little girl. She even made sure to make both grandma's a little something!
The whole reason I get to celebrate mothers day is because of these three great kids. There was once a day when I wondered if I would ever have a baby. Lucky me I got 3!
I love how the card Brady made wishes me "happy motnes day" the h looks like a n and its missing an r. Its the thought that counts right=)
We went to moms house today and helped her with a little yard work. When I say we I mean Brian. haha

Brian and Terrie
Since we have two mom's to visit on Mother's Day weekend we started our Saturday off by going to see Brian's mom in Duchesne.
Grandpa Shawn and his new Harley. Can you tell he loves it?
Say cheese Grandma!
Brady got his own present today. Thanks to his Uncle Brent and some comic books that Grandma had saved. He got a ton of reading material. Since comic books are the only thing I can get him excited about reading I was very happy to see these gifts. Probably not half as happy as Brady was. The only problem was decided which one he wanted to take to bed. Thanks guys!

Bunk Beds, Run away Baby, Markers, and curlformers...

These are the new bunk beds we got for the girls!
This is Paislee sleeping in her big girl bed for the first time!
The next two pictures are where we found Paislee the next morning. Apparently she made it all the way down stairs and in this chair. Along with a doll, Elmo and her lovey. Without any of us hearing her!
This is what happens when you leave a 2 year old alone with her siblings, some markers and a balloon. You can't tell but she had marker all over her legs too.

I saw these curlers called Curlformers on a hair blog and thought I would try them. As you can see they worked really well and Krissa is loving having all these curls without having to sit and wait for me to curl it with a curling iron. You can buy them at Sally's beauty supply but I got mine on EBay.
After we put the curlers in.
And right after they were taken out. She said they werent to bad to sleep in.
The finished product. I can't wait to try them on my hair.

Ode to our mommies!

We have the best moms. I don't even know if I can put into words how much we love them!
My mom is such a great grandma and mother. She would do anything for us. She's a hard worker, even when she's hurt she will go to work. From stay at home mom/farming/cake decorator when we were young to now cleaning houses/cake decorator. She has always worked hard at whatever she is doing. She loves to have parties and entertain and you definitely know where you stand with her (I'm pretty sure I have that same gift or problem=) I can only hope someday I am half the woman my mom is. We love you mom!
"All that I am or ever hope to be, I owe to my Mother."
-- Abraham Lincoln (1809-1865)

Brian's mom raised 5 boys right there you have to give her kudos=) I have one boy and I'm still not sure how she managed 5. She is a great grandma and mother. She has been very good to watch the kids and even an occasional dog once in a while. Terrie didn't always had the greatest circumstances when the oldest boys were kids. But you wouldn't know it by the wonderful man that Brian is. Thanks for the wonderful husband Terrie. Without you I wouldn't have the life I have. We Love You!

To My Mother-In-Law

You are the mother I received the day I wed your son. And I just want to thank you, Mom, for all the things you've done. You have given me a gracious man with whom I share my life. You are his lovely mother and I his lucky wife. You used to pat his little head and now I hold his hand. You raised in love a little boy then gave to me a man.
