Lagoon

Since Brady’s birthday is coming up and we have never taken the kids to Lagoon we thought we would go today. It turned out to be a great day weather wise and since we went on a Sunday the lines were really short. We all had a great time.

Brian and I getting ready for the Sky Coaster. I had done it once in high school and apparently I forgot how terrifying it is.Brian on the other hand didn’t even know what the ride did and just went because I said we should. haha When they took us all the way to the top I seriously had a panic attack if they would have let us off then I would have gotten off. I shouted a few bad words  while Brian loved it. In the end it was fun. But I’m blogging about this so I wont make the same mistake and I will never ride it again. Brian said he would have done it twice if it wasn’t a extra cost. He’s crazy if you ask me.

If you see that little speck at the top by the giant beam that is us. It drops you really fast and then you swing out over the amusement park just harnessed to each other and some metal line.  Nope never again will I ride this ride.

First Day of 5th and 3rd Grade

My handsome 3rd grader. I'm just happy this cute boy gets to go to the same school he went to last year. This is the first time that has happened.

I think this is the last year for taking pictures of Krissa in her class room. She looked pretty embarrassed and when I told one of her classmates that her mom had probably taken her picture the girl looked at me like I was crazy and said No. Sorry Bissy.

Pistol Packing Mama (sort of)

Brian, Brady and I went to the shooting range the other day. I wasn’t really planning on shooting other than with my camera but Brian did get me to try. Brady loved these ear plugs and said he was going to take them home so he wouldn’t have to hear his sisters. Smart boy =)

I was proud of Brady shooting a 12 gauge shot gun and actually hitting the flying clay pigeon on the first try. Although after he hit it he admitted that it was just luck he hit it because he wasn’t really aiming. haha

As for me I was a horrible shot but it did peak my interest. If I were to get a gun that didn’t kick as hard I can see me going pheasant hunting with Brian. Shooting was pretty fun.

Reward

I told the kids at the first of the summer that if they did their chores all summer long I would buy them a mini pillow pet. They held up their part by emptying the dishwasher, taking out garbages, vacuuming, and pulling weeds. So today I had to hold up my end. They were so excited and I was excited to not have to empty the dishwasher all summer long. Sounds like a win win to me =)

Tobie

After finding mice in lots of places in the house lately. I broke down and went to the shelter to get a cat. Since then Paislee has found her new best friend. The jury is still out on whether Tobie (tobie the tabby cat) feels the same way=) I wasn’t sure about having a cat but he had only been here about 5 days and caught two mice. Yep I think the cat can stay. And as an added bonus my shih tzu Chewy loves him and they play constantly. Nothing like a no maintenance cat that gives my dog and little girl a play mate and kills mice.

Some funny things Paislee has said lately.

We were climbing to Timpanogas cave (Paislee made it both ways walking herself) and Paislee said “I wish this day never happened.” She was not liking hiking. Then as we were walking down she yells “Dad quit farting”. Everyone on the trail got a kick out of that.

As we were walking through the grocery store she said “you better check yourself before you wreck yourself”.

Yesterday I hear her yelling at Brady and she says “Don’t sass me”.

Idaho Friends

I was lucky to be able to watch my friend Kristin's little girl Ashlynn. Who just happens to be one of Paislee’s best friends. They had a great time and didn’t fight once.

and jumped off the ottoman over each other…

and of course posed fro some pictures.

And to my surprise when Kristin picked her up she came bearing gifts. She made me this cute decorations along with a bunch of bows for the girls. Everything was so cute and sooo crafty. Thanks Kristin.  I can’t wait until I get to see you again.
