Punky Brewster and Snow Bunny

Brian and I woke up this morning to a little voice saying "daddy do I look pity (pretty), daddy do I look pity (pretty). Krissa had gotten paislee some clothes and done her hair. Which was really good but as you can see the outfit kinda looked like something punky brewster would wear and her hair was a little askew=) I didn't have the heart to change anything because they were both so proud=)
We tried a couple years ago (when the older kids still had training wheels) riding our bikes to Snow bunny burger in Hailey. Which is 8 miles there and back. They didn't make it then but today we made it. It would have been nicer on the way back if the wind wouldn't have been blowing in our face but no one cried (not even me) so I call that a success=)
Proof that we made it. Even though Brady did ask if we were going to get a ride home =)

All dogs go to heaven.....

All dogs go to heaven that's what Brian told the kids tonight over dinner after we found out today that penny has bone cancer. A couple months ago she was injured in a recliner chair accident and then proceeded to get a bigger and bigger lump on her hip. Brian took her to the vet yesterday for a re-xray and they called today to tell me it was cancer and that she probably has had bone cancer for awhile and that's why her hip broke so easy in the accident. They pretty much said just to give her pain pills until it becomes to much and then we will have to put her down. I have spent most of the night crying. Even Brady got big tears in his eyes when we told him. I'm going to miss my Penny.

Easter Dresses

Since we were going to be in salt lake (where it is warm) the girls finally got to wear their Easter dresses. While Tiff was there (she is much better with a camera than I am) I sent her outside with the girls and asked her to please work her magic.
She also got these really pretty pictures of flowers in my moms yard. Too bad there aren't pretty flowers like this in our yard=)

On the pretend cell phone....

I was on the phone and paislee was on her cell phone. She looks at me and says "shush I'm on the phone". As I listen to her conversation this is how it went. "we will go to 4 and then we will be maiweed (married), I don't know how you like brady, no don't call me buddy. I'm going to be mad to you, no I will be nice" End of conversation. Oh how I love this age=)

Amelia Earhart...

Krissa had to pick someone in history to do a short biography on so she picked Amelia Earhart. Since they have to dress the part while they do the report I thought she did a pretty good job picking her. I mean what if she had picked Abe Lincoln? That would have been a tough one=)

Flash Back Friday...Prom

I thought since I have been seeing Jr. Prom pictures all over face book. I would relive me and Brian's prom and no we didn't go together. We actually knew each other in high school but never got together until years later.

Helpers....

It was really nice tonight when I started peeling potatoes and Krissa helped me. We ended up having an almost adult conversation while peeling potatoes and it almost made me tear up how big she is getting. She is quite the special little girl.
Paislee helped too by cracking all the eggs. This girl loves cracking eggs and I love to watch her do it. She is always really careful and just likes doing it. It will be nice in just a couple years when I have two able bodied girls helping me in the kitchen.

Coloring Easter Eggs and Easter Morning....

I bought this kit this year where you put it in this salad spinner type thing add color and spin. The kids seemed to like it=)
This is his Mr. Cool face. If he sees you with the camera he automatically give you this face=)
Of course Krissa decorated the table. Our holiday tables are never boring thanks to her=)Easter Morning

The Easter bunny brought them all a Zhu Zhu pet. This is as close to having a rodent as a pet as they are going to get=)
Paislee making her egg. (sorry its sideways not sure how to fix it )

Before and After

We painted this wall today and I just wanted to share how it turned out. I'm pretty proud that we picked the color and it was a good one=)

Spring Concert and my little artist strikes again...

This week was Krissa's spring concert. Another benefit of living in a small town is the cute little concerts they put on. Krissa did a great job. I love this cute little girl=)
This is her class and another 3rd grade. Another benefit of small towns is small class size. She only has 14 kids in her class=)

I went out with some friends last night and when I got home I saw this bunny picture on the art easel. I was telling Brian he did a good job drawing the bunny (thinking he did it). But he said Krissa did the whole thing.
Obviously she has a lot more skill in the art department than I do =)
