Church

Krissa, Brady, and I finally ventured to our little woodland ward today (by little I mean it only has one ward in it and the building is probably half as big as the church was in Hailey). Everyone was really nice and welcoming and I actually got to hear sacrament because Brian kept Paislee with him=) There was one long winded guy who spoke in sacrament and Krissa leaned to me and said "man that guy has a lot to say".

Shad's football game

We drove over to duchesne last night for my nephew shad's foot ball game. He is a sophomore but has been playing quarter back on the varsity and is really good (As far as my knowledge of football goes=) He did get a touch down and and threw some really good passes. WAY TO GO SHAD!! All I had was my camera phone so I didn't get the best of pictures. If you see a #11 that is him.

Our little artist

Krissa is quite the little artist if I do say so myself. I'm pretty sure I couldn't draw a ostrich or a cat that good. But hey I'm her mother and I may be a little biased=)

This is a little note pad tiff gave me that has the peoples heads and Krissa just added our bodies. By the way tiff, krissa has really enjoyed having these little notepads around and they were very helpful when I gave the new neighbors our phone number because our name was already there for them!

Its all in the name.

So everyone else is googling themselves so I think oh that sounds fun. What did I come up with a whole two people that have the same name as me. One of which is me. I'm so boring. So anyway my alter ego has the following traits
-Kara is the real theologian in the family. (whatever that means)
-Kara Peatross Human Resources Assistant Phone: (804) 752-7312 (it even gives my phone # should I call and say hi my name is kara peatross=)
-Oh and I live in Bellevue Id which is the real me.

As for Brian

-He is 31 and lives in bellevue Id(Apparently there is no other Brian Peatross) Could we really handle another one=)

Flash Back Friday

This is a picture of Brian's mom when she was a baby. (Doesn't she look a lot like paislee)

You know you should have stayed in bed when...

-Your dog eats a whole box of decon and has to be taken to the vet so she doesn't bleed to death!
-You start a big load of laundry and then realize your dryer won't turn on. (Luckily it was a tripped breaker)
-You finally get up in time to go to church. You get the kids all ready drive to church and... Yep that's right no ones there because evidently it is stake conference! Maybe I will try again next week=)

Happy Birthday Brady!

Brady turns 6 today. I can't believe my little boy is 6. In honor of his birthday I thought I would list just some of the great things about brady!
-He is the calmest little boy ready to go along with the flow.
-He knows just about everything there is to know about electronics (probably more than we do)
-He is such a good helper (especially if you ask him something and it ends with "and then you can play video games")
-He has such a soft heart. He is all boy but he will cry at the drop of a hat.
We love this little guy and don't know what we would do without him. Happy Birthday Brady!
We Love You!

Brady's Pirate Party

We did a pirate themed party for Brady this year. We invited our two little neighbor boys and I think the kids had a ton of fun. Between the treasure hunt and the eye patches it was a great party.

The eye patch. Yes Paislee did not want to wear it but I wanted a picture=)

Yar har fiddle dee dee you are a pirate!

The Cake

The treasure hunt. In case you are wondering it has been confirmed that we have deer by our swing set. Brian went to hide a clue up there and saw one where we had heard the noise before!
The Red Ryder BB Gun Brian got Brady. I know I know most of you are saying "You'll shoot your eye out." But in reality the BB gun won't leave the safe unless Brian is with him. Brian was wishing he would of had this the other night when he saw a mouse in our garage. He put decon out for the mice and our dog Sammy ate the whole box (luckily Brian saw that she had done it on his way to work and took her to the vet. She is going to be fine thankfully)
The rest of the loot.

New Hair Do's

My Sis told me about these blogs she had looked at that had ideas for little girls hair. So I tried a couple today and I think they turned out pretty good.

Crown Braid

Paislee with a bunch of pony tails. I can't believe her hair was even long enough to do this!

The leaves they are a changing=(

I feel like my summer was stolen right out from under me. For one thing we were either moving or Brian was working practically every Saturday. And then I drive home from the bus stop today and look at the hills behind my house. All the leaves are changing, in a way they are pretty but I don't like to think that summer is already on its way out. It would help if we hadn't either been moving or having a baby the last 4 summers. We need to stick around in one spot and enjoy a summer. Or maybe just move to St. George where it is summer all year round!

Come on baby, lets do the twist..

The kids earned this twister game by doing chores. So we thought we would play it as a family. It was actually pretty fun and a good way for Brady to learn his left from his right!

What was that?

Brian and I were trimming trees today in our back yard and up on the hill by the swing set when we heard thud thud thud. Up in the thick buck brush. We both just kinda looked at each other. I asked him what it was and he said I don't know. And then he started yelling trying to get it to move again. We heard another thud thud thud and by then I was already back to the yard. Brian stayed and said it was probably just a deer. Which I'm sure it was because we often have deer in our yard in the morning. But maybe I won't be so quick to tell the kids they didn't hear a bear when they come in from playing on the swing set!

Hogle Zoo!!

We went to the Hogle Zoo today. Since it was 75 in salt lake today we thought it was perfect timing to go to the zoo. We hadn't been there in 4 years. Alot had changed and I think the kids really enjoyed seeing all the animals. I enjoyed the ice cream and I guess the animals too. haha

Paislee kept throwing a fit because the kids both had head phones while watching a movie on the way to the zoo. I finally found these headphones that go to brady's leapster (which weren't even hooked to the movie). Right when I put them on she shut right up and had a smile on her face the rest of the drive.

Grandma Ann went along for the ride. She hadn't been to the zoo in 25 years!

These are some of the animals we saw. I was pretty impressed by the white alligator. When we were above the gorilla enclosure. Brady said "you dont want to fall in there because you will bonk your head and the gorilla's will kill you, huh dad"
