Fathers Day

We are so lucky to have Brian for the dad and husband in our family. He is such good dad to our kids we love him.

I had the kids fill out these pages for Brian some of the answers are hilarious. Like Paislee said he likes to wear black and yellow pants. I have no idea where that came from. And Brady wrote he likes to wear the same thing as Kyle. Kyle is our neighbor and Brian and him always end up wearing the same clothes.

At the end of the day we took the kids and dog to the lake. But it ended up being a really quick trip because there was a dead carp and 4 million flies in the spot we were in. The kids didn’t seem to care. But I was disgusted.

Father Son Camp Out

Brian took Brady on the ward father son camp out last weekend. They had a  great time. Or so they say. Since I sent them with strict take lots of pictures orders and they only came home with these two from camp.

When Brady showed me the next pictures he said they panicked on the way home and took a bunch in the truck. Silly boys.

This is the place monument

Since Brady was supposed to go to This is the place monument on a school field trip and was unable to go due to some funeral planning, I told him we would go this summer. I happened to see that today was free admission day so we loaded up and went.

We were looking at this picture of the Donner Party and Paislee pointed out the little kid on the right. She said “did he die”. I said yes and then the rest of them ate him. My kids were really confused. I thought I was funny.

Along with free admission day they gave out  free ice-cream. Yumm

As we walked in the petting zoo I told the kids to pet this lamb. They wouldn’t at first because they thought it was dead. When really it was just exhausted from the heat. I had to show them it was breathing. haha

Brady used his chore money to buy this raccoon tail. Go figure.

We caught a ride on  this old fire truck to the fire station.

Bear Badge

Brady was so excited to get his bear badge in scouts tonight. They had me go up there and paint different colors on his face for different achievements. I’m so proud of my boy.

I admit I got big tears in my eyes when his scout leader presented him with these treats because he missed the pine wood derby because of his grandma’s funeral. I thought that was so thoughtful of her.

Silver Lake

We decided to go for a hike up silver lake this weekend. When I say we I mean “I” and everyone else just kinda went along. Brady was excited and Brian was pretending excitement. But Paislee and Krissa were not very happy about it. At the end though everyone said they had a good time. Even though paislee proclaimed a couple times on the way up how much she hated hiking. =)

While we were eating lunch Brady kept asking for his Hick. It took us awhile to realize he meant Hi-C. Silly boy.

Paislee was pretty tired after walking four miles. But she was a trooper as long as I kept mentioning the skittles she would get in the end.
