We decided to decorate Easter eggs tonight and in true Krissa fashion she had to write a note and decorate the house. I was in tears again when I got to the part of her note that said “Make sure you give my cousin Dylan lots of eggs because his dad just died and he needs lots of love.” What a sweet girl.

Every time I pointed the camera at Paislee she would say Happy Anniversary. I think she was a little confused. She kept knocking the eggs around and I told her she was like a bull in a china shop. She said “well I’m just having fun”. haha

On a funny side note. The kids stayed at my moms last night so we could see a movie. Mom said that Paislee had some Jell-O Krissa wanted so Krissa asked for it. As Paislee handed it to her she said “Here knock yourself out”. She is our little comic. haha

Brady’s Baptism

Brady was finally baptized today. His Uncle Marco came down from St. George to baptize him. For the program we had Krissa say a prayer and Brady’s cousin Jacee spoke. The Bishop told Brady he looked like a hundred bucks in his suit and Brady said “can I have a hundred bucks”. haha It turned out to be really nice. And Brady was happy he had to be dunked twice. (I'm wondering if his little hand sticking up was planned=) Which is something we needed after this hard week. Congrats Brady. We ended up having our family, Tiffs family, Grandma Ann and some friends from the ward. Grandma and Grandpa Mortensen were planning on coming until the weather ruined that plan. But Brady understood and knew they were here in spirit=)

Brooklyn and Paislee almost knocked each other over hugging one another when they first saw each other. It was too cute. /Brady and his Uncle Marco.

A sad day

We laid Brian's brother Brandon to rest yesterday. It was a very nice service but a very sad day.

In the picture on the right the little boy in the middle is Brandon's son Dylan. He is an amazing boy.

RIP Brandon We will miss you

Brian's older brother Brandon passed away unexpectedly on Sunday night at age 36. The past few days have been filled with lots of tears but also I have been so proud of my in laws, Brian and Brandon's son Dylan. Everyone has tried to hold it together as well as possible. And yesterday as we were planning the funeral Brandon's son Dylan (who is only 12) practically planned the whole thing. He knew exactly what his dad would want right down to the the font on the head stone. He is one strong little boy. As we go to the funeral on Friday I only hope I can have some of the strength this family has shown. We will miss you Brandon. You will always be in our hearts. The music video below hits it right on the head. Brandon didn't always have the best time here on earth but right now I picture him in heaven saying don't cry for me I'm in a better place with no worries.

April Fools!

 

I was trying to think of a way to fool the kids this morning. So I was talking to Brian about something I could put out for them to dip their strawberries in that would look like sugar. He had the great idea of salt. So I got up and casually got them all some and sat back to watch the reaction. Brady actually ate one and just made a face until Krissa ate one and started spitting and gagging and Paislee looked at me disgusted. Thank goodness we have 3 toilets for them all to spit in. Haha. Paislee is still saying “that was not a funny joke”. Me I’m still laughing. hehe
