Scar

When Brady got his mole removed I joked with the Dr about making it look like a harry potter lightning bolt. Looks like she took me serious. Brady thinks its pretty cool=)

She isnt a baby anymore.

I got paislee all dressed and ready for the day and wanted to cry. It just hit me she isn't a baby anymore with her pigtails and big girl looking clothes she is definitely a toddler. Where did the last two years go?

7 years ago today and after 22 hrs of labor I gave birth to this sweet little baby boy. Brady is our only son and such a great little guy. Here are a few things We love about him....
He is very funny, I was telling him that he was 7 and before I knew it he would be old enough to move out. And then I said oh wait you are living with us forever. He said "actually I think I will move next door". Then he said "well I will live at home if I can have my own car. I'm going to buy a mini van and live at home". Brian said well if you live with us and have a mini van I'm pretty sure you will live with us forever=)
He is a little tease, Krissa was asking him why he is always teasing her and he said "I don't know I just like it and sometimes I really like it=)"
He is such a boy, anytime he can do anything with his dad like fish, hunt or even just play video games his little eyes just light up.
He loves his family, even though he is constantly teasing his sisters he loves them.
He is very good with electronics, he cant read very well but if you sit him in front of a video game, computer, DVD player or satellite he can do anything with it. To the point of us having to put a lock on our dish years ago because he would order his favorite x-men movie just by pushing buttons until he got the right one. ha ha
He is emotional, he can be the toughest kid but if he gets his feelings hurt he just melts. He is probably our most emotional kid=)
We Love You Brady! Happy Birthday!
Brady picked Eggo's for his breakfast, but is planning cake and ice cream for dinner.
I took some sugar cookies to his class today. He was so excited when his friends sang happy birthday to him! I had to take a picture of his art work (above) that was hanging in the hall at school. I still can't believe he is 7!

AVA

I stole this sweet picture of my sissy and Ava on the blessing day. Love those two girls!

I got this announcement in the mail from my little niece Ava. She is being blessed today in St. George and sadly we are 9 hours away and unable to go. She is such a sweet baby and we are so lucky to have her in our family. I hope they had a great day and they know how much we miss all of them=(

Happy (early) Birthday Brady

Since Brady's birthday falls on Monday and dad will be out of town we celebrated it today. We got Brady a basketball hoop for his birthday so we decided to have a basket ball theme. Instead of giving party favors I gave the kids a basketball of their own and candy from the pinata=) We had a great time and I know Brady had a great time playing with his friends!

Brian was putting up the basketball hoop and the kids were more interested in turning the box into a boat.

Grandma Ann sent Brady a present. Which included some sleep pants a shirt, a transformer and of course the card with the stickers and pictures of us stuck on it. Gotta love Grandma=) (Click on the pictures to fully understand our amusement, I love the one of Brian playing the guitar)

Brady, Bridger, Colton and Bryson

The kids and Brian had a great time hitting the pinata.

Since we were having a basketball theme we had to include a game of horse=)

Brady's friends gave him a hot wheels track and pop guns. Thanks guys!

Ever since Krissa's birthday Brady has told me that he wanted the above song sung at his birthday instead of the happy birthday song. It was almost to the point of him reminding me daily. haha

Flash Back Friday...Where were you?

Where were you on 9-11? I was driving to work in Salt Lake and then spent my day trying to watch TV and take patients back at the same time. Brian was working on the LDS conference hall in Salt Lake. I was thinking we didn't have kids then but I remembered we did have a 2 month old little girl we just didn't know it yet=) So where were you?

More snakes

After seeing the snake yesterday. Brady was begging dad to take him back up the canyon to look for snakes and birds. This time they took Paislee and found this blow snake. Brian tried to get paislee to stand with Brady but she just kept saying gohs (gross). I don't blame her I think snakes are gross too=)

Labor day and Rattle Snakes

We went to the Bellevue parade today and I have to say there were a lot of cars and not to many floats. But I loved it because the kids loved it. As you can see in the picture below (you have to click on it and enlarge it to fully see her cute facial expression) paislee was beside herself that people were throwing candy at her. She was so excited. They were all too cute waving at all the people.

After the parade and festivities at the park Brian took his dog and Brady up the canyon on the ranger. They ended up shooting two things. A rattle snake and a sage grouse. Brian said Brady spotted the snake before he did and then Brian preceded to shoot it until there was nothing left. Brady said "dad my leg is shaking and I'm not even making it shake" Brian said that's because that snake just scared the crap out of us. haha Brady told me "mom we killed that bird in one shot, but the snake took a bunch of shots." haha
The rattler (this was all that was left of the snake)
Brady, Mowgli and the sage grouse=)

Friends and what we do for fun...

Krissa is so lucky to have a friend like Jessie. We move away for a year and when we come back the first thing she sees at school is Jessie's arms outstretched for a hug. We love jessie!

With Brian gone we get a little bored. Brady wouldn't go to bed and was all wrapped up in this blanket so I wrapped him like a little sack of potatoes and packed him upstairs. We were both laughing pretty hard with his little head sticking out of the top of the blanket.
With a bunch of boxes in the house. I couldn't help but show the kids how to slide down the stairs on them. Luckily no one was injured=)
